Bulgaria: Schoenherr advises Alstom on EUR 720m tender for supply of 35 electric trains and 15 years of maintenance
Schoenherr advised Alstom Transport S.A. ("Alstom"), the leader of a consortium that was awarded a tender to supply 35 electric trains to the Bulgarian Ministry of Transport and Communications. The tender contract was signed on 25 April 2025. Schoenherr assisted Alstom with the contract negotiations and with the successful appeal proceedings before the Supreme Administrative Court.
Poland: Schoenherr advises Skechers on lease agreements for new outlet stores in Warsaw
Schoenherr advised Skechers, a global leader in lifestyle and performance footwear, on lease agreements related to the opening of a new store in the Factory Annopol outlet centre and the expansion of its retail space in Factory Ursus, both located in Warsaw.
Romania, Serbia: Schoenherr advises Hellman & Friedman on its investment, alongside CVC, in Mehiläinen
Schoenherr acted as local counsel in Romania and Serbia for Hellman & Friedman in connection with its investment, alongside CVC, in Mehiläinen, the largest healthcare and social care provider in Finland. Kirkland & Ellis, advising Hellman & Friedman as transaction lead counsel in this cross-border transaction, coordinated the legal advice provided in all relevant jurisdictions.
Austria: Abuse of data protection rights
Following up on the CJEU's judgment of 9 January 2025, C-416/23, Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Demandes excessives), the Austrian Supreme Administrative Court addressed excessive and manifestly unfounded data subject requests to data protection supervisory authorities in six cases (VwGH 29 January 2025, Ra 2023/04/0002; Ra 2022/04/0049; Ro 2023/04/0018; Ro 2022/04/0016; Ro 2022/04/0022; Ra 2020/04/0084). The Austrian Federal Administrative Court added another decision on such requests (BVwG 11 March 2025, W137 2305838-1).
